Three-Fifths of Us are Home

John, Davin, and I are back at home this evening. We are all happy to be here, but it was sad leaving the hospital without Luke and Leo.

I was surprised and excited to get to hold Luke for the first time today. He is still in his isolette, but they took him out and let me snuggle with him for awhile. Maybe it was just me, but I think he was pretty excited to be with his mom for a few minutes. After having a taste of freedom, he was a little agitated when he was returned to his controlled environment. He continues to make small improvements each day, so we hope he will be in a crib soon so he can be reunited with his brother.

We are all looking forward to Grandpa Leo and Grandma Mary's arrival tomorrow.

  1. Great news about Luke. I think a little snuggle from Mom might be just what he he needs to turn the corner.
